Pokor for Discord

Planning poker for Discord

Keep distributed planning moving from the Discord channel or voice call where the team already meets. Run /pokor and give everyone one clear path into the room.

Available on the Free plan
One connected workflow

From source item to shared estimate

Keep the source context attached from selection through the final decision.

  1. Add the Pokor bot

One Discord OAuth flow adds the Pokor bot to your server and registers the /pokor slash command globally.

  2. Run /pokor in any channel

Invoke /pokor, optionally with a session name. The bot replies with a rich embed and a "Join as Organizer" link button.

  3. Vote together

As teammates join, the embed refreshes with the participant list. Click through to the Pokor session and estimate in real time.

What becomes easier

Less coordination around every vote

The integration should remove coordination work without hiding what Pokor can access or where the final estimate goes.

/pokor slash command

Globally registered, no per-channel setup. Any server member with permission can start a session.

Native Discord embed

Rich embed with session name, join button, and live participant list — styled to match Discord, not a link preview hack.

Great for communities

Run estimation for open-source projects, game-dev jams, or school teams without forcing anyone into a new tool or sign-up flow.

Free forever

Discord integration is part of the Pokor free plan. Paid features — imports, exports, join approval — are independent and only needed if you want them.

Questions about access and setup

What permissions does the Pokor Discord bot need?

Only the scopes needed to send messages, update embeds, and register the /pokor slash command. Pokor does not read arbitrary messages or user data.

Do my teammates need Pokor accounts?

No. Anyone in your Discord server can click the join button and participate as a guest, with just a display name.

Can I run multiple sessions at once?

Yes. Every /pokor invocation creates an independent session — ideal for communities with several concurrent project threads.

Does the Discord integration cost anything?

Discord usage is free. The Organizer plan unlocks backlog imports (Jira, Notion, GitHub, CSV), exports, custom decks, and join approval — none of which are required to run a basic planning poker session.

Will the bot spam my channels?

No. The bot only posts when someone explicitly runs /pokor and updates that one message as participants join. There are no marketing posts, reminders, or background notifications.
