Terms of service
Last updated: April 27, 2026
Welcome to Pokor. By using our service, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.
1. Service Description
Pokor is a real-time planning poker platform for development teams. It enables collaborative estimation of work items using story point cards. Pokor may also be accessed through third-party integrations such as Slack, Discord, Notion, GitHub, and Jira.
For Jira and GitHub stories, organizers can enable estimate sync so finalized estimates are written back to the source tool. Jira sync writes numeric estimates to the configured story points field. GitHub sync can post an issue comment, an estimate label, or both, depending on the organizer's settings.
2. User Accounts
Anonymous Access
You may use Pokor without creating an account by choosing a display name. Anonymous sessions are identified by browser cookies.
Authenticated Access
You may sign in with your email (via a one-time confirmation code), Google, GitHub, Atlassian, Discord, or Microsoft to access your sessions across devices. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and associated email or third-party provider.
Session Organizers
The person who creates a session becomes the organizer. Organizers can:
- Manage stories and voting rounds
- Remove participants from the session
- Ban participants from rejoining (prevents access by account, token, and IP address)
- Require approval before new participants can join
- Transfer the organizer role to another participant
- Export voting history (CSV/PDF)
- Configure supported integrations and estimate write-back
Story management, imports, exports, join approval, and Jira/GitHub estimate sync require an Organizer plan.
3. Subscription Plans
Free Plan
The Free plan includes core planning poker features: real-time voting, unlimited active sessions, preset card decks, Slack and Discord integrations, and unlimited participants.
Organizer Plan
The Organizer plan (5.99 EUR/month or 59.99 EUR/year) includes all Free plan features plus: story management, imports from Notion, GitHub, Jira, and CSV, Jira/GitHub estimate sync, PDF and CSV export, and custom deck saving. Payments are processed by Stripe.
Cancellation
You may cancel your Organizer subscription at any time. Access to Organizer features continues until the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds are issued for unused time.
Failed Payments
If a recurring payment fails, Stripe will retry for up to 3 days. If all retries fail, the subscription is cancelled and your account reverts to the Free plan.
Downgrade
When reverting to the Free plan, paid features (story management, imports, exports, custom decks, async mode) become unavailable. Your existing sessions remain accessible.
4. Session Moderation
Removal & Bans
Session organizers may remove participants at their discretion. Removal may include a ban that prevents you from rejoining the session. Bans are enforced using your account identity, anonymous token, and/or IP address. Ban records persist for the lifetime of the session and are deleted when the session is removed.
Join Approval
Organizers may enable join approval, which requires them to manually approve each participant before they can enter the session. If your request is denied, you will not be able to join. Organizers may also ban you during the approval process.
Appealing a Ban
If you believe you were banned in error, contact the session organizer directly. Pokor does not mediate disputes between participants and organizers.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the service for any unlawful purpose
- Harass, abuse, or harm other users
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service or other users' data
- Use automated tools to scrape or overload the service
- Interfere with the proper functioning of the service
6. User Content
You retain ownership of any content you create (session names, story titles, descriptions). We do not claim ownership of your content. We store it solely to provide the service.
If you enable write-back to Jira or GitHub, you authorize Pokor to send finalized estimates to the external issue using the permissions granted to the connected account. You are responsible for connecting the right workspace, repository, project, issue, and Jira field.
7. Data & Privacy
Your use of Pokor is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your data.
We use Sentry for error tracking and Laravel Nightwatch for application monitoring. Optional analytics and external widgets load according to your cookie preferences. By using Pokor, you acknowledge the use of these third-party services as described in our Privacy Policy.
8. Donations
Pokor offers an optional "Buy Me a Coffee" widget for voluntary donations. Donations are processed by Buy Me a Coffee and are subject to their Terms of Service. Donations are voluntary, non-refundable, and are separate from the Organizer subscription — they do not grant additional features or services.
9. Service Availability
We strive to keep Pokor available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pokor and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. This includes, but is not limited to, loss of data, loss of profits, or business interruption.
11. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the service for users who violate these terms. You may stop using the service at any time by signing out and clearing your cookies.
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
