Planning poker for GitHub issues
Install the Pokor GitHub App, import stories from any repository, and send estimates back as a comment or label on the issue. Two-way, real-time, with labels and state filters included.
How it works
Install the Pokor GitHub App
One click from Settings → Integrations. Choose which repositories the app can see — your org admin decides the scope.
Pick a repository
Pokor lists every repo across every installation you belong to. Pagination built in for orgs with many repositories.
Import issues
Filter by state (open, closed, all), browse the issue list with labels, select the ones to estimate, and pull them into the session.
What you get
GitHub App + OAuth
The Pokor GitHub App handles repository permissions; OAuth handles the user identity. Tokens auto-refresh — no manual re-auth during long sessions.
State and label-aware
Filter by issue state, see labels inline, and pick exactly the backlog slice you want to refine. Up to 500 issues per import.
Title, body, URL, labels
Imported stories carry the issue number, title, markdown body, HTML URL back to GitHub, and labels — the team gets full context in the session view.
Send estimates back to GitHub
When your team finalizes, Pokor posts the estimate to the issue as a comment, an `estimate:N` label, or both. Pick the write-back mode in Settings and toggle sync per session from the planning room sidebar.
Only the organizer pays
GitHub import is an Organizer-plan feature (€5.99/mo). Voters and spectators are always free.
Frequently asked questions
The Pokor GitHub App requests read access to issues and metadata, plus write access to issue comments and labels so it can post estimates back — it cannot modify your code, create pull requests, or change repository settings.
Yes. GitHub org admins can install the Pokor GitHub App organization-wide and restrict which repositories it can access. Each user still completes a lightweight OAuth step to map their GitHub account to their Pokor seat.
Private repositories work the same as public ones — the Pokor GitHub App only sees what you or your admin has explicitly allowed it to see.
Yes. With sync enabled, Pokor writes each finalized estimate straight to the GitHub issue — as a comment, an `estimate:N` label, or both. Pick the write-back mode in Settings → Integrations and turn sync on from the planning room sidebar.
Installing the GitHub App is free; importing issues into a planning poker session requires the Organizer plan.
