Planning poker for Slack

Type /pokor in any Slack channel to spin up an estimation session. Pokor posts a join message, you claim the organizer role, and your team votes together — no sign-up, no extra tabs to juggle.

Free plan — no sign-up required

How it works

1

Install the Pokor Slack app

One-click OAuth install adds Pokor to your workspace with the minimum scopes needed to post and update session messages.

2

Type /pokor

Use /pokor in any channel, optionally with a session name. Pokor replies privately with a "Join as Organizer" button (signed link, valid for 24 hours).

3

Invite the channel

Once the organizer joins, Pokor posts a public session message to the channel with a join button and a live participant count.

What you get

/pokor slash command

Starts a fresh planning poker session in seconds. Pass a session name inline or let Pokor generate one automatically.

Signed join links

The organizer link is cryptographically signed and expires after 24 hours — no stale session URLs floating around Slack.

Live participant updates

As teammates join, Pokor updates the Slack message with participant names and count, so everyone knows who is in before voting starts.

Free — no organizer seat needed

Slack integration ships on the Pokor free plan. Install once, run unlimited sessions with your team.

Frequently asked questions

What Slack permissions does Pokor request?

Only the scopes needed to post messages, update them as participants join, and recognize the /pokor slash command. Pokor never reads channel history or direct messages.

Can multiple channels run planning poker at the same time?

Yes. Each /pokor invocation creates an independent session. Run one per squad, per sprint, per project — whatever your structure.

Do my teammates need to install anything?

No. Only the workspace admin installs the Pokor Slack app once. After that, any member can type /pokor and Pokor handles the rest.

Does the Slack integration cost anything?

Slack usage is free. You only need the Organizer plan if you want paid features like backlog imports from Jira/Notion/GitHub/CSV, exports, or join approval.

What happens to old session messages?

If a session had activity, Pokor archives the Slack message once the session ends and preserves the results. If nothing happened, Pokor deletes the Slack message and the empty session the next day.
